The problem
My family needed tools that fit the way we actually teach and track school at home. The products we found were either too generic or added more complexity than they solved.
What I did
- Built a times-table trainer with weighted practice decks, a five-level mastery model, a full progress grid, and speed measurements based on recent attempts.
- Created a companion multiplication application that teaches the box method and long multiplication with interactive, color-matched steps before moving into scaffolded practice.
- Built an attendance application for tracking school days and hours, with automated local and offsite backups.
- Used Hermes agents and other coding tools during planning, implementation, troubleshooting, deployment, and maintenance while retaining responsibility for the requirements and technical decisions.
The result
The applications are used for real learning and recordkeeping at home. Progress follows each learner across devices, lessons can move from explanation to practice, and attendance records are backed up automatically.
